When did you decide to present Narerramos as an organization working for the rights of the Roma people to Ternype?

Since Nakeramos has always collaborated with Ternikalo in everything and it has helped Ternikalo to bring its projects to completion during difficult times, the decision to present its candidature seemed to be consequential.

What are the mission and the vision of Nakerramos, your role in the organization, and the main activities in this period?

Strengthening youth initiatives of young Roma and non-Roma for mutual respect and European citizenship

With the initiative of “Youth Network for Development”- ternYpe member organization from Bulgaria, and the support of the Youth in Action Program, 33 young Roma and non-Roma from 8 countries of Europe will gather for a 7 days training course which will be held  in Razlog, Bansko Blagoevgrad Bulgaria. Under the title “Strengthening youth initiatives of young Roma and non-Roma for mutual respect and European citizenship”

ternYpe European Youth Campaign for CHANGE RECOGNITION, and GRASSROOTS MOBILIZATION 15-21 September 2013

TernYpe new European Campaign is coming soon. We are gathering 40 Roma and non-Roma participants from 12 countries in Budapest for 5 days seminar which is organized with Council of Europe in the frame of the Roma Youth Action Plan. The Roma and non-Roma youths will work together by sharing their experiences and ideas from the grassroots level but also build a new collaborations for the future.
 
The Study Session aims to raise the capacity and cooperation of young Roma and non-Roma multipliers, activists and youth organization by developing and stimulating new and creative methods and approaches for a Europe-wide grassroots campaign for change recognition and grassroots mobilization.
 
The seminar aims to support this in several ways, including by defining vision with principles, outcomes, create slogans and messages on the basis of a campaign framework. They will raise awareness and strength common understanding of the campaign issues. Capacity-building will be another component of this seminar between the youth organization and youth activists by developing methods and action repertoire.
Present will be also Roma and non Roma volunteers, ternYpe Young Professionals, youth leaders, national campaign coordinators , online activist who are active in Roma communities and experts in working with Roma communities and Roma youth.

ternype Participation on 8th European Platform for Roma Inclusion

                ternYpe Participation on  8th European Platform for Roma Inclusion
 
On 27 June the 8th European Platform for Roma Inclusion was held in Brussels, with the specific focus on health, education and employment. The Activist of Amnesty International and ERGO handed in a petition signed by over 93,000 people from all over the world, calling on the EU and in particular on commissioner Viviane Reding to take action to end discrimination against Roma .
 For the first time in Panel of the Platform were representative of the Roma Youths from different countries and also people who works on field of discrimination and segregation.
 
Representative from the International Roma youth network “ ternype “ took a speech in the Empowerment of the Roma Youth was the key point for the presentation panel. The Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Lívia JÁRÓKA (EPP, HU) send a video message to the conference stressing the need to develop reliable indicators and assure adequate funding for Roma. The representative of  ternYpe International Roma Youth Network Merdjan Jakupoc gave a strong message . “Listening to the voices of Roma youth is about listening to the voices of several million young people on the grassroots level.” He stressed also that  if Roma youth are united in different structures, they are able to make their voices heard, and to develop negotiating power to obtain equal citizens rights and opportunities in education, health, labor and housing.

7th ternYpe Networking Meeting and General Assembly

 

From November 26-30th, ternYpe - International Roma Youth Network organized in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, the seminar "Strengthening the ternYpe youth movement for respect between Roma and non-Roma youth" to reflect, to share experiences, to discuss the internal development of the network, and to discuss the specific action plan which reflects the ternYpe strategy. 30 youth leaders, representing their organizations from 9 different ternYpe member countries came together to discuss about their engagement, achievements and challenges for the empowerment and mobilization of Roma youth, and new actions and cooperation on international level were developed. The plans of 2013 include the ternYpe Academy, a new grassroots campaign and a big youth conference and commemoration event in Krakow and Auschwitz around August 2nd.
